Tucked away in the Somerset fields like the world’s most rhythm-soaked secret, Glasto Latino is where the party doesn’t just continue after the Pyramid powers down — it ignites. And this year’s line-up? One big, sweaty, glittering invitation to DANCE.
Friday night fever: Havana d’Primera
Hold onto your mojitos — Friday night’s headline comes from none other than Havana d’Primera, Cuba’s elite 16-piece ensemble led by the powerhouse that is Alexander Abreu. Grammy noms? Tick. World tours? Tick. A horn section that will rearrange your internal organs with joy? Double tick. They’re bringing the full-on Cuban heat, and you will dance.
Saturday spins: Interactivo de Cuba
Think funk, hip hop, jazz and classic Cuban son all shaken into one wild cocktail. That’s Interactivo, Saturday’s game-changing ensemble led by keys wizard Roberto Carcassés. This isn’t just a gig, it’s a musical experiment in pure joy. Every show’s different. Every groove’s deeper than the last.
Sunday sizzle: Álvarez Funk
Closing the weekend with a bang, Rene Álvarez and his 9-piece Cuban funk juggernaut are serving up Afro-Cuban soul fused with slick North American funk. If you’ve ever wanted to feel the spirit of Havana and Harlem in one sweaty crowd, this is it.
Early birds: Orchestra Mambo International (Weds & Thurs)
The midweek warm-up is seriously not messing around either. DJ Lubi and Jonny Enright have wrangled the crème of UK Latin musicians for a riotous tribute to the golden age of Fania Records. Think Tito Puente, Willie Colón and all the salsa greats under one Glasto sky. Iconic.
Daytime = Dancefloor Training Camp
If you’ve never tried salsa, bachata, samba or Brazilian funk before — this is your chance to learn from the best. Whether it’s resident legend Nigel “La Tempesta” May, Cuban firecracker Pilo and partner Ilaria, or international groove-master Rohan Brown, you’ll be twirling like a telenovela star by sundown.
Making Glasto debuts this year are Yandy Martinez, straight outta Havana’s iconic Tropicana school, and Erica Da Silva, whose Brazilian Funk game is seriously next level.
And don’t miss the daily Carnival parades through West Holts — with dancers, feathers, rhythm, and this year… the mystical Madre de Aguas, a legendary Cuban water serpent brought to life. Yes, really.
Why Glasto Latino?
Because nowhere else will you go from dodgy tent toasties to samba hips in one field’s stroll. It’s colour. It’s community. It’s a 3am sweaty salsa hug with strangers. It’s magic.
So, whether you’re a seasoned salsero or just ready to shake it ‘til you make it — grab your dancing shoes (or don’t, barefoot’s welcome), and meet me under the fairy lights. Glasto Latino is calling… and it’s saying ¡Vamos!
