Boomtown has done it again—dropping another wave of acts for this year’s ‘Chapter Four: Power of Now’, and honestly, this lineup is shaping up to be absolute chaos in the best way possible. If you’ve ever been to Boomtown before, you know it’s not just a festival—it’s an experience, a full-blown, immersive world where music, theatre, and wild creativity collide. And this year’s story? It’s all about rebirth.
So, what’s new? Koffee, Kojey Radical, Babylon Circus, and Craig Charles have just been announced, joining an already stacked lineup featuring Sean Paul, Sex Pistols, Maribou State, Rudimental, Azealia Banks, The Wailers, Overmono, and so many more. Oh, and with 600 MORE acts still to come, this is just the tip of the Boomtown iceberg.
The Lineup So Far… A Little Taste of What’s to Come
🟡 Koffee – If you need some sunshine in your life (and let’s be real, at a UK festival, we all do), Koffee’s reggae-infused magic is going to hit just right. With tracks like Toast and Pull Up, expect pure good vibes and a crowd singing every word.
🟠 Kojey Radical – A poet, a rapper, a visionary—Kojey’s music is a blend of grime, jazz, and storytelling that’ll hit you right in the feels and get you moving. If you haven’t seen him live before, trust me, this is one to circle on your festival planner.
🔴 Babylon Circus – Ska, punk, reggae, and a whole lot of energy—this French band is the definition of a party. Expect brass, bouncing, and absolute mayhem.
🟣 Craig Charles – If there’s one person who knows how to get a festival moving, it’s Craig Charles. His funk and soul sets are legendary, and if you find yourself at his stage, prepare to dance until your legs give up on you.
And that’s just the latest drop! Let’s not forget Sex Pistols, bringing pure punk chaos, Sean Paul, ready to turn Boomtown into a full-blown dancehall, and Overmono, who will be delivering their signature euphoric beats deep into the night. And then there’s Nova Twins, Fat Dog, Brass Against, Honey Dijon, Kenya Grace, and a whole host of other legends set to take over the Boomtown streets.
The Boomtown Story: A New Chapter Awaits
For those who don’t know, Boomtown isn’t just about the music. Every year, the festival follows an evolving storyline—part dystopian adventure, part utopian dream, always with a message of community and change. This year, the post-pandemic world has transitioned from a “State of Emergency” to a “State of Emergence.” It’s all about rebuilding, rising from the ashes, and stepping into now.
It’s that mix of escapism and real-world reflection that makes Boomtown so special. One minute you’re lost in the maze of Metropolis, the next you’re deep in the basslines of DSTRKT 5, then suddenly you’re watching a brass band cover Rage Against the Machine on a stage made out of scrap metal. There’s nothing like it.
600 More Acts Still to Come!
Yep, you read that right. Boomtown’s lineup isn’t even close to being finished, and with their reputation for booking everything from reggae legends to the wildest underground techno, there’s a lot more chaos to come.
So, who do you want to see added? Will we get more drum & bass mayhem? More punk-rock madness? Some surprise secret sets? (Because let’s be real, Boomtown always has a trick up its sleeve.)
Let me know who you’re hoping for! And if you’re heading to Matterley Estate this August, I’ll see you in the thick of it—probably covered in glitter and completely lost in the storyline.
Power of Now—let’s go! 🚀
