Sizzling Sun and Serious Throwbacks: Isle of Wight Festival 2025 Kicks Off Tomorrow!
Hello my fellow festival lovers! Pack your sunnies, your glitter and maybe a fan or two — because the Isle of Wight Festival 2025 is about to go off, and it’s going to be scorching in more ways than one. It will be all weekend, from Thursday, June 19 to Sunday, June 22.
Starting tomorrow (Thursday 19 June), the iconic seaside bash at Seaclose Park in Newport is once again promising us a weekend of musical magic — with chart-toppers, Britpop legends, and a certain pop prince bringing sexy back to the main stage. 🕺
For those new to the scene, the Isle of Wight Festival isn’t just another music weekender. Back in the day — 1970, to be precise — it was bigger than Woodstock. Think: Hendrix, The Who, and hundreds of thousands of peace-and-love pilgrims camped out on the island. It was so big, it got banned for over 30 years. (Too cool for the council, basically.)
Since its triumphant return in 2002, the festival’s been a solid fixture on the UK calendar — and this year’s no different. The lineup is bursting with singalong staples, indie anthems, noughties nostalgia, and a bit of “wait, they’re still touring?!” thrown in for good measure. There’s even a surprise or two rumoured to be bubbling away behind the scenes — so keep those eyes peeled for special guests.
And now for the best bit: the weather gods are smiling down on us. We’re talking clear skies and serious tan lines, with highs of 25°C on Friday and Saturday. Sunday dips ever so slightly to 23°C, but that’s still prime cider-sipping, glitter-dancing, sunhat-strutting weather. Don’t forget your SPF, folks — no one wants to leave with a face the same colour as the Red Funnel ferry.
If you’re still humming and hawing about a last-minute trip, it’s not too late — tickets are still available. You can even hop on a Big Green Coach from major cities across the UK if you don’t fancy the faff of ferry logistics.
Whether you’re belting out ‘Roxanne’ at golden hour, living your best ‘90s life in the Big Top, or sobbing gently into a pint during that power ballad closer on Sunday night — Isle of Wight Festival 2025 is shaping up to be a seriously sun-soaked celebration.
See you down the front, yeah?
The good news, tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival 2025 are still available. Full weekend tickets are only £289.95 or you should be able to land a single day pass for £125. See all available options here.
